The Rolex GMT-Master II, model 126720VTNR-0001, commonly known as the “Sprite Ring” within the watch community, is a highly recognizable left-handed GMT watch from Rolex. It breaks with the traditional design of having the crown at 3 o’clock, relocating it to 9 o’clock and pairing it with a green and black Cerachrom ceramic bezel. Upon its release, it quickly became a popular sports steel model. The VTNR code is derived from the French phrase Vert-Noir-Tige à gauche, representing the green-black color scheme and left-handed crown design. Overseas enthusiasts also refer to it as Rolex Sprite or Destro Left-Hand GMT.

Cerachrom green and black dual-colored ceramic bezel
The ceramic bezel is scratch-resistant, wear-resistant, and resistant to fading, featuring a half-forest green and half-matte black 24-hour scale for reading the time in a second time zone. The 24-hour scale numbers are filled with platinum, ensuring clear readings in both strong and weak light environments. The striking contrast between green and black creates a powerful visual impact, which also gives rise to the nickname “Sprite Bezel”.
9 o’clock position left crown (Destro left-handed design)
The crown has been relocated to the 9 o’clock position on the watch, ensuring that when worn by right-handed individuals, it is concealed on the inner side of the wrist, preventing any irritation or friction. Equipped with the Rolex triple-locking screw-in crown, it guarantees water resistance. The case is crafted from 904L superluminous chrome steel, with a diameter of 40mm, which is the standard size for the GMT series, fitting most men’s wrists.
Dial and luminescence
The dial features a black sun pattern, classic Mercedes-Benz hour markers, and 18K gold-coated three-dimensional hour markers filled with Chromalight blue luminescence, emitting a lasting blue light in dark environments. It also includes a fourth arrow pointer for GMT, which displays the time of a second time zone in conjunction with a 24-hour ring.
Oyster bracelet
The watch comes with a full set of Rolex Oyster bracelet in three-piece links, stainless steel, equipped with an Oysterlock clasp and an Easy-Link micro-adjustable link, allowing for ±5mm fine adjustment of the bracelet length to accommodate temperature-induced expansion and contraction of the wrist.
